Join photographer Francesco Fragomeni and explore the art and science of early photographic processes related to Hippolyte Bayard’s life and work. This is a free, drop-in program for all ages complementing the exhibitions Hippolyte Bayard: A Persistent Pioneer and Nineteenth-Century Photography Now.
This even is held in hour-long blocks twice during the day, from 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.–2:30 p.m.
About the Artist
Francesco Fragomeni is an interdisciplinary artist, photographer, and photographic historian. His work is informed by early 19th-century photographic processes and his research focuses on early achievements in photography and the development of the processes and technologies that drove them. Fragomeni’s work is also informed by his experiences with traumatic brain injury and neurodivergence. He aims to create work that encourages discourse, thoughtfulness, and connection across boundaries.
