Founded in 1970 in the heart of East Los Angeles, Self Help Graphics & Art is dedicated to the production, interpretation, and distribution of prints and other art media by Chicana/o and Latina/o artists. Our multidisciplinary and intergenerational programs promote artistic excellence and empower our community by providing access to space, tools, training, and capital.

About the Artist
Patricia Yossen is a materials and process-based artist exploring the intricate dynamics of group relationships, communities, and the mechanisms that shape our interactions. Her artistic practice integrates her teaching expertise, forging connections that extend far beyond the studio. She is originally from a small town in rural Argentina after several years of additional studies in Mexico City, she found permanent residence in the United States, where she completed an MFA from Pratt Institute. Her experiences as a two-time immigrant infuses her work with a unique cross-cultural perspective making it more accessible and enables fostering a rich, community-based dialogue with diverse audiences.
